Jongleurs London Description
The Battersea Jongleurs was the original Jongleurs club, opening its doors in 1983. Originally a 1920s ballroom, this venue has played host and helped to launch the careers of some of the biggest names in comedy today.
For its 21st birthday celebrations recently, this historic venue was given a major face-lift. The club has been totally redecorated, with designers taking great care to preserve the unique atmosphere.
The new look Jongleurs is open for comedy every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with drinking and dancing licenced until 2am.
Downstairs is the Rise Bar and Dining Rooms, a totally separate bar, which has a stylish retro ambience. Opening its doors at midday seven days a week, you can chill out by day with coffees and an open plan kitchen. The constantly evolving menu offers breakfasts, main courses, sharing platters and desserts.
At weekends, the live DJs and dancefloor open up, creating a more sophisticated late night venue. The bars are licenced until midnight Monday to Saturday, and until 10.30pm on Sundays.
Both venues are available to hire, for any occasion.
